John’s Country Nursery is an independent, locally owned garden center that was started in 1986 by John and Carol Beran. With over 30 years of serving Middlefield and eastern Geauga County, John’s is known for providing great values in top quality plants, plant material, garden supplies, gift items, and much more. More recently, the knowledgeable people at John’s have added classes on topics of interest to beginners and those wanting to learn more about topics ranging from beekeeping, fairy gardens, bird watching and wildflowers to cooking with local herbs. JOHN AND CAROL BERAN
Owners
John and Carol Beran started this nursery in 1986 and have been involved in every aspect of the business. If they can’t answer your questions, they have a staff of trained professionals who can. Just ask them.
CHRISTINE
Bee Specialist
Christine, our Garden Center Manager, has over 30 years of experience helping gardeners. She also has 17 years of experience as an expert beekeeper. If you need help with plants or pollination to get the most out of your garden, you need to talk to Christine.
PHYLLIS
Landscape Design
Phyllis is our Landscape Design Expert. She is a Certified Master Gardener and has consulted with homeowners, landscape companies, and nurseries to provide designs that will grow successfully in northeast Ohio’s challenging weather and soils.
